Reunion Registration
Singer:$60 per alumni participant includes Reunion music packet (yours to keep), UVa lanyard, Friday dinner, Saturday breakfast, Sunday afternoon reception, virtual Jubilate Alumni Directory. PDFs of the music and access to recordings will be distributed about one month prior to Reunion. There is no additional charge for children and non-Jubilate alumni spouses/partners to attend the Friday dinner and Saturday breakfast. We do ask that you let us know the number in your party.
Alumni non-singer: Even if you no longer sing, we would love for you to come to Reunion! $40 per alumni participant includes UVa lanyard, Friday dinner, Saturday breakfast, Sunday afternoon reception, virtual Jubilate Alumni Directory. There is no additional charge for children and non-Jubilate alumni spouses/partners to attend the Friday dinner and Saturday breakfast. We do ask that you let us know the number in your party.
How to register? There are two ways to register: (1) fill out pages three and four of this document, which includes payment and mailing instructions OR (2) go to https://jubilateuva.org/fiftieth-reunion/ to fill out an electronic version of the form. You can either pay online or mail your check to the address on the registration form. Checks should be made out to University Baptist Church. Please choose the registration method that is easiest for you. You do not need to complete both forms. Deadline: March 31, 2023.
50th Anniversary Reunion Banquet
Saturday, April 22 at 6:30 pm. Doors will open at 6:00. The Banquet will take place at the DoubleTree Charlottesville (990 Hilton Heights Road). Buffet-style dinner: Charcuterie Board, Soy Marinated Grilled Salmon, Chicken Piccata, Vegetables, Potatoes, Salads, and Desserts. $55 per person. Please note any dietary restrictions on your Reunion registration form so they can be accommodated.
Childcare
Childcare for children (infant through elementary school) will be available at UBC during rehearsals (Friday and Saturday), and the Saturday banquet (5:30-9:30 pm). Childcare during the Sunday concert will only be for children of preschool age and younger. There is no additional charge for childcare; however, you must preregister so we can ensure proper staffing. All families will receive an email during the week prior to Reunion with a UBC childcare release form and a request for allergy, diet, and special needs information. This must be completed for each child.
Fellowship Time
One of the major pieces of feedback we received from the 2018 Reunion was to include more time for fellowship. You will see some changes in this Reunion’s
schedule. On Friday, we have included additional fellowship time. You are welcome to stop by UBC starting at 12:00 pm to visit and check-in. On Saturday,
we have added two optional events. The first is an informal lunch at local restaurants organized by decades. Please indicate on the registration form if you are interested in this so we plan accordingly. We have also partnered with the University Guides Service to offer free, hour-long tours of Grounds on Saturday afternoon. You can choose from a General Historical Tour and a Garden Tour. If interested, indicate which tour you would like to attend. The tours will be held simultaneously, so you can only choose one.
Sponsorships and Scholarships
The Jubilate Alumni Association Board of Directors is trying to keep the Reunion as affordable as possible for all of our alumni. Are you able to “sponsor” one of the current members or recent Jubilate alumni? Please consider an extra donation to the Reunion Fund as you fill out your registration form. If you “graduated” from Jubilate between 2018-2023 and need financial assistance, we have half and full scholarships available to cover the registration fee. Please note your need for a scholarship on your registration form and we will contact you once we know how much money is available for scholarships. The JAA Treasurer will ensure that all scholarship requests remain confidential.
Jubilate Alumni Association Board
The JAA Board has enjoyed planning this Reunion and hopes that you will come and have a fun time singing and socializing with all of your Jubilate friends, those you know and those new friends you will meet. We know you love Jubilate and we would love to have you join the JAA Board to help support the current group and eventually plan for the next Reunion. We meet for 2-3 hours twice a year with Board members both meeting at UBC and attending virtually via Zoom. It used to be that you needed to be within driving distance of Charlottesville to attend the meetings. With teleconference technology, you can now live almost anywhere and be a member of the Board. If you might be interested, please indicate so on your Reunion registration form.
