We started out the year down in numbers again but we’re slowly building back—we have already added three wonderful singers and are scheduling more auditions each week. We discovered 150+ names of incoming first years and transfers, and have contacted each of them. Two of the first three who auditioned were from that group, and three more are being scheduled now. At our first rehearsal, we were pleased with the sound and potential for the year. As the numbers increase, the potential for more challenging music increases, but, more important, the opportunity to reach people with the greatest news of all increases! We will always be open to welcoming new members—we hope that you all will pray with us that the people we need to make music that will change lives will find us!
A specific prayer request would be that we can find more ways to perform on ground, share our musical testimony, and discover those who are looking for a musical family at UVA! Our Steering Committee members are committed to that task this fall. Your prayers are needed and always appreciated.
